L. Jeneva Clark, Ph.D.
In the Mathematics Department at UT, Dr. Jeneva Clark, teaches mathematics for undergraduate students of all majors and for future secondary math teachers. She also serves the Mathematics Department's teaching mentorship program for graduate students by making educational trends and research accessible to the department. She earned a Ph.D. in Teacher Education with a concentration in Mathematics Education. In the last decade, she has served as PI, co-PI, or consultant on various grants, funded by the Department of Education, the National Science Foundation, and the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. Dr. Clark's research interests include mathematics education, STEM education, and teacher education. In particular, she is currently interested in the role of mathematical modeling in K-12 education and teacher practice.
Content Focus: strengthening STEM content knowledge, through the integration of mathematics and physics, for middle and high school teachers
Pedagogical Focus: student motivation, through planning, learning environment, and assessment, using the TEAM model as a framework
